There are many options that will benefit the students, mission and future of the school greatly. We encourage our donors to choose which area(s) of giving fit best with his or her philanthropic goals and plans.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of giving to Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. The Annual Fund is comprised of unrestricted funds that support the operations of the school such as teacher salaries, library books, technology and building maintenance. The school can put such gifts to use immediately in areas where they are most needed.

SHG is committed to providing a world class education for all who desire it, rooted in the Dominican pillars of community, service, study, and prayer. To continue to make this vision a reality, we need your help. The cost to educate one SHG student is $14,323. Tuition is $9,650, leaving a gap per student. SHG awards tuition assistance to 30% of students. SHG is committed to remaining as affordable and inclusive as possible by limiting increases in tuition.

The Annual Fund is calculated on a fiscal year basis from July 1 - June 30. During the year, the SHG Advancement Office sends mailings, hosts special events and conducts personal visits to raise Annual Fund dollars. All gifts, big and small, are important to the Annual Fund.

Scholarship Fund

More than 30% of students at SHG receive a need-based scholarships. Without the scholarship program, many students would not be able to afford to attend SHG. There are several ways to become a scholarship donor.

General Scholarship Fund- No gift is too small to the SHG General Scholarship Fund. Gifts of any size may be made to the fund and, because your donation will be expendable, we can use it immediately. That means your generosity will join others’ to make a significant difference right away for deserving and outstanding students who want to attend SHG—and whom we want on our campus.

Current Use Scholarships – For those who wish to have a scholarship named, we ask for a four-year commitment of $2,500 annually. With this commitment, you can select criteria and preferences regarding the students receiving the funds. These include specific areas of study, enrollment status, GPA and other criteria as desired. The funds need to be given to SHG prior to any scholarship award. Many donors continue their scholarship with an annual gift to the fund. Payments are to be made to the fund on or before April 1st.

Endowed Scholarships- Donors who wish to help students, and at the same time establish a lasting memorial, may endow a scholarship. By definition, an endowed scholarship is one in which the principal remains intact and only the interest is awarded annually. Often, these scholarships are named for the donor and/or their family member(s).
